Würth Elektronik's WE-HCI series is known within the electronics market to be a top of the line, high-current inductor family. Due to increased demand for smaller packages in even higher currents, Würth Elektroniks offers numerous sizes ranging from 5.5 mm x 5.3 mm x 4 mm up to 22.5 mm x 22.0 mm x 12.0 mm, thus allowing customers to find the optimum size for their circuit designs. The high-current flat wire inductors offer some of the industry's lowest DCRs for maximum performance in DC/DC converters. The family contains a broad range of inductance values from 0.22 µH up to 82 µH with currents up to 41.5 A. For reference, at 10 µH the inductor has 21 A rated current and 26 A before it starts to saturate. This means that even driving the part at its max temperature, it still delivers the full inductance and only has a DCR of 3.4 mΩ.
