Texas Instruments' TMUX1119 is a complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) single-pole-double-throw (2:1) switch. The wide operating supply of 1.08 V to 5.5 V allows the device to be used in a broad array of applications from medical equipment to industrial systems. The device supports bidirectional analog and digital signals on the source (Sx) and drain (D) pins ranging from GND to VDD. The logic inputs have 1.8 V logic compatible thresholds ensuring TTL and CMOS logic compatibility when the device is operating in the valid supply voltage range. Fail-safe logic circuitry allows voltages on the control pins to be applied before the supply pin to protect the device from potential damage.
The TMUX1119 device has ultra-low on and off leakage currents and low charge injection, allowing it to be used in high-precision measurement applications. Low supply current of 3 nA and small package options enable the device to be used in portable applications.
