Artesyn Embedded Technologies introduces the LCB family of enclosed AC-DC power supplies, consisting of 23 new models that provide a reliable, low cost solution for general-purpose industrial applications requiring a single low voltage DC supply. The new power supplies combine high efficiency, typically 89 or 90 percent, with a very low no-load power consumption of just 0.5 W. 

The LCB family is offered in four series with nominal power output ratings of 35, 50, 100, and 150 W. The LCB35, LCB50, and LCB100 series each comprises six single-output models, offering voltages of 3.3 V, 5 V, 12 V, 15 V, 24 V, and 48 V, while the LCB150 series comprises five single-output models, offering voltages of 5 V, 12 V, 15 V, 24 V, and 48 V. LCB35, LCB50, and LCB100 series units accept a universal 88 V_AC to 264 V_AC input and are also capable of operating from a 125 V_DC to 373 V_DC input, while the LCB150 model accepts an 88V_AC to 132 V_AC or 176 V_AC to 264 V_AC input and is also capable of operating from a 248 V_DC to 373 V_DC input. 

Designed for normal convection cooling, all LCB family power supplies accommodate an ambient operating temperature range of minus 25°C to 70°C, with linear derating above 50°C. LCB family power supplies are housed in a compact, robust, and low profile fully ventilated metal enclosure. All connections are made via semi-shrouded screw terminals and an LED ‘Power On’ indicator is provided. An externally accessible trim pot allows the output voltage to be adjusted by ±10%. 

The power supplies are comprehensively protected against output over-voltage, overcurrent, and short-circuit conditions. They carry UL/TUV 60950-1 safety approvals and have a very high calculated MTBF ranging from 200,000 hours to 460,000 hours, making them ideal ‘fit and forget’ power solutions for long lifetime applications.
