Diodes' AP91352 is a self-protected resettable electronic fuse designed for consumer applications such as hard-disk drives and industrial applications to enhance system reliability against catastrophic and shutdown failures. The eFuse is a 5 V protection device with a bidirectional switch that incorporates input slew-rate-control to reduce input surge current and reverse current detection to prevent discharge from V_CC to V_OUT.  To support a wide range of demanding applications, the design has been optimized to operate over the supply range of 3.6 V to 12 V. For robustness and protection, the device integrates a low R_DS(ON) NMOS buffer power device along with under-voltage lockout, overvoltage clamp, current limit, and thermal shutdown circuits.
