***rchild Semiconductor: The FAN5646 is a flexible and compact solution for a blinking or "breathing" LED indicator. The internal programmable blink algorithm eliminates any need for continual system processor control. This means longer battery life for a hand-held system because the system processor is not awakened from sleep mode to blink an LED.Very low dropout of 80mV allows driving an LED without any inductors or switch capacitors. LED blink rate, rise and fall time, and CTRL line behavior can be programmed by a TinyWire single-wire digital interface. The on-time and time between pulses can be set for up to two different pulse widths.The default for FAN5646 option 01 is "follow" mode, where the LED turns on with the programmed rise time, then stays on as long as CTRL remains HIGH. When CTRL falls, the LED turns off at the programmed fall time. For option 00; when CTRL is HIGH continuously, the LED repeats the programmed pattern.The FAN5646 is available in a four-pin wafer-level chip-scale package with 0.4mm pitch of a five-lead SC70 package.

***th Star Micro: The CAT4002A provides a two matched low dropout current sources to drive LEDs. The CAT4002A uses an external resistor RSET to set the current in the LED channels. Each LED channel includes an individual control loop allowing the device to handle a wide range of LED forward voltages while still maintaining tight current matching. The EN/DIM logic inputs supports device enable and a digital dimming interface for setting the LED channel current with 32 linear dimming levels. LEDs can be powered directly from a Lithium-ion battery due to the low dropout (50 mV at 20 mA) current sinks. The device is available in the 6-lead TSOT-23 and SC-70.

***rchild Semiconductor: The FAN5640 is designed to illuminate one or two strings of keypad LEDs with constant high-side current sources. The device can drive up to four white LEDs in series at a maximum current of 25mA per channel. If the second channel is not needed, the channels can be tied together to boost output current up to 50mA. An external resistor programs the maximum output current. Dimming can be accomplished by pulse width modulation of the enable pin or the input supply rail.
