AD7942 14-Bit PulSAR® Pseudo Differential ADCs
Analog Devices AD7942 14-Bit PulSAR® Pseudo Differential ADCs are charge redistribution, successive approximation ADCs operating from a single power supply, VDD, between 2.3V to 5.5V. AD7942 includes a low power, high speed, 14-bit sampling ADC with no missing codes, an internal conversion clock, and a versatile serial interface port. AD7942 also provides a low noise, wide bandwidth, short aperture delay track-and-hold circuit. The SPI-compatible serial interface offers designers the ability, using the SDI input, to daisy-chain several ADCs on a single 3-wire bus and an optional busy indicator. AD7942 is compatible with 1.8V, 2.5V, 3V, or 5V logic using a separate supply (VIO). On the CNV rising edge, AD7942 samples an analog input, IN+, between 0V to VREF with respect to a ground sense, IN−. The reference voltage, VREF, is applied externally and is set up to be the supply voltage. AD7942 power scales linearly with the throughput. Available in a 10-lead MSOP or a 10-lead LFCSP package, AD7942 fits in the same size footprint as the 8-lead MSOP or SOT-23. Specified for operation from from −40°C to +85°C, the AD7942 ADCs are well-suited for battery-powered equipment, data acquisition, instrumentation, medical instruments, and process controls.Learn More
