The HMC540SLP3E is a broadband 4-bit Silicon IC digital attenuator in a low cost leadless surface mount package. This single positive control line per bit digital attenuator utilizes off chip AC ground capacitors for near DC operation, making it suitable for a wide variety of RF and IF applications. Covering 0.1 to 8 GHz, the insertion loss is less than 1 dB typical. The attenuator bit values are 1 (LSB), 2, 4 and 8 dB for a total attenuation of 15 dB. Attenuation accuracy is excellent at ± 0.2 dB typical step error. The attenuator also features a IIP3 of +56dBm. Four TTL/CMOS control inputs are used to select each attenuation state. HMC540S Digital Step Attenuators
Analog Devices HMC540S features low-loss, highly accurate, fast-settling, IC digital attenuators operating from 0.1-8GHz. The HMC540S family uses off-chip AC ground capacitors for near DC operation. The design makes HMC540S attenuators well-suited for a wide range of RF and IF applications. These single, positive-control line-per-bit digital attenuators have bit values of 1 (LSB), 2, 4, and 8dB for a total attenuation of 15dB. The HMC540S attenuators maintain high accuracy at ±0.2dB typical step error. The IP3 offers a wide dynamic range and a rating of +56dBm. Four TTL/CMOS control inputs allow designers to select each attenuation state. Designed using an advanced silicon process, the HMC540S attenuators offer low power consumption, fast settling time, and high ESD robustness. The HMC540S attenuators can operate with a single +3.3-5V voltage supply. The 4-bit HMC540S family offers ~100nsec switching and 0.05dB in ~250nsec settling.
