Automotive Switch ICs
ROHM Semiconductor Automotive Switch ICs integrate a low ON-resistance MOSFET and multiple protection circuits on a single chip. This results in a low loss, high efficiency, stable, and reliable operation. The AEC-Q100 qualified ICs consists of power management ICs and Intelligent Power Devices (IPDs) with smart low side or high side switch ICs. These IPDs have several advantages over mechanical relays. They have better protection and recovering function from an electrical short. They offer FIT (Failure In Time) rate improvement by a non-mechanical approach. They also space saving solutions in the compact packages that are offered. These switch ICs are available from single-channel to multi-channel high side switches for broad compatibility. The automotive switch ICs come in various different packages to match the requirements of the designers.
