TSCR420 & TSCR421 Constant Current Regulators
Taiwan Semiconductor TSCR420 & TSCR421 Low-Side Constant Current Regulators (CCR) are designed to reduce current temperatures in linear LED strings. CCRs are devices that vary the voltage across a load to maintain a constant electric current. The devices regulate with a preset 10mA nominal that can be adjusted with an external resistor up to 300mA. The regulators can be used in multiple applications, as long as the maximum supply voltage to the device is less than 40V. TSCR421 has an Enable (EN) pin that can be pulse-width modulated (PWM) up to 10kHz by a microcontroller for LED dimming while in low-side control.
