Don't buy this sound sensor!While they kind of work, the design of these red sound sensor board simply cannot be used as a reliable sound detector.The trimming of the potentiometer to a suitably sound level (hand clap) is very difficult and once it is trimmed it is not stable at all. After a few minutes or after touching the board it may no longer work well and only react to very loud claps. It is also very sensitive to the voltage supply level. So switching a relay on the same +5V power supply (the basic hand clap controlled light switch application) will not work well because of this. Powering it from the 3.3V pin from the Arduino board worked around this issue, but I could never get it stable.
