AD9161/AD9162 12GSPS RF DACs
Analog Devices AD9161/AD9162 Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs) offer a high dynamic range, wide bandwidth, and 6GSPS data rate to support the most demanding high-speed RF applications. The AD9161/AD9162 DAC core has a quad-switch architecture with a 2x interpolator filter. The design enables the AD9161/AD9162 to deliver an effective DAC update rate up to 12GSPS. When in baseband mode, AD9161/AD9162 supports DOCSIS 3.1 cable infrastructure compliance and operates from DC to 2.5GHz. A 2x Interpolator filter (FIR85) allows the AD9162 DACs to operate at lower data rates and converter clocking. This reduces the overall system power and eases the filtering requirements. When in mix-mode, the AD9162 can reconstruct RF carriers in the 2nd and 3rd Nyquist zones up to 7.5GHz. Designers can program the output current from 15mA to 40mA. The AD9161/AD9162 data interface features up to eight programmable JESD204B SERDES lanes for maximum design flexibility. AD9161/AD9162's serial peripheral interface (SPI) configures the DAC and monitors the readback register status. Learn More
