MCP7940N Real-Time Clock/Calendar (RTCC)
Microchip MCP7940N Real-Time Clock/Calendar features 64 bytes SRAM, digital timing compensation, programmable output control, and a power sense circuit for battery switch-over. The MCP7940N RTCC tracks time with an economical 32.768 kHz crystal and communicates via I2C™ bus. Four selectable frequencies are available using the programmable CLKOUT. The MCP7940N Real-Time Clock/Calendar from Microchip operates in either 24-hour or 12-hour format with settable alarms to the second, minute, hour, day of the week, date, or month.
