The device providesan accurate record of available charge in Li-ion and Li-polymerbatteries and monitors capacity change, battery impedance, andopen-circuit voltage. The information is reported to the system hostcontroller over a serial-communication bus. The BQ20Z75 offersintegrated analog front-end short-circuit and overload protection andis ideal for notebook computers, medical and test equipment, handheldterminals, and data logging equipment.
