Littelfuse SLIC SIDACtor® Protection Thyristors focus on addressing the unique protection needs of SLIC (Subscriber Line Interface Circuit) chipsets. The components offer fixed voltage and Battrax® battery tracking protection solutions capable of protecting SLIC devices from transients caused by lightning and AC power cross. The SLIC family provides an overvoltage protection solution that helps applications comply with Telcordia GR-1089 Issue 4, and ITU-T recommendations K.20, K.21, K.44, and K.45.
B61089QDR / B9110DF Dual Port SLIC Protectors
Littelfuse B61089QDR and B9110DF are dual port Subscriber Line Interface Circuit (SLIC) protectors. B61089QDR protects two different SLIC tip/ring pairs with independent voltage tracking for each pair. B61089QDR protects the SLIC interface against lightning induced surge and power fault events. This SLIC protector contains fast switching crowbarring structures for negative events and a simple fast switching diode structure for positive events. B9110DF dual port polarity programmable SLIC protector protects smart ringing SLICs with dual power supplies. B9110DF protects the SLIC interface against lightning induced surges and power fault events. This SLIC protector contains fast switching crowbarring structures that are compatible with the Basic levels outlined in ITU K.20, K.21, K.45.
SIDACtor® Protection Thyristors
Littelfuse SIDACtor® Protection Thyristors are thyristor devices used to protect sensitive circuits from electrical disturbances caused by lightning-induced surges, inductive-coupled spikes, and AC power fault conditions. The unique structure and characteristics of the thyristor are used to create an overvoltage protection device with precise and repeatable turn-on characteristics with low voltage overshoot and high surge current capabilities. SIDACtor components are solid state crowbar devices with a patented ion implant technology that ensures effective protection within nanoseconds. Littelfuse SIDACtor® Protection Thyristors include a wide range of semiconductor protection thyristor over-voltage transient suppression devices designed to serve requirements of telecom and data networking equipment applications.
