PolyZen Polymer Enhanced Zener Micro-Assemblies
Littelfuse PolyZen polymer enhanced, precision Zener diode micro-assemblies offer resettable protection against multi-Watt fault events without the need for multi-Watt heat sinks. The Zener diode used for voltage clamping in Littelfuse PolyZen micro-assemblies provide a relatively flat voltage vs. current response that helps improve output voltage clamping even when the input voltage is high and diode currents are large. The Zener diode is thermally coupled to a resistively non-linear, polymer PTC layer that responds to either extended diode heating or overcurrent events by transitioning from a low to high resistance state ("tripping"). PolyZen polymer enhanced Zener diodes help protect sensitive portable electronics from damage caused by inductive voltage spikes, voltage transients, incorrect power supplies, and reverse bias. These Littelfuse devices are particularly suited for portable electronics and low-power DC devices.

Littelfuse ZEN059V130A24LS Zener diode device offers complete circuit protection for electronics with USB ports and meets USB 3.0 Suspend Mode power-consumption requirements. PolyZen devices are polymer-enhanced Zener diodes that help provide coordinated protection against damage caused by overvoltage, overcurrent, and ESD transients in a single package. The Littelfuse PolyZen ZEN059V130A24LS combines high power-absorption capabilities with low Vz (Zener voltage) and low power consumption.
