FSBB20CH60C is an advacned Motion SPM® 3 series that Fairchild has newly developed to provide a very compact and high performance inverter solution for AC motor drives in low-power applications such as air conditioners. It combines optimized circuit protections and drives matched to low-loss IGBTs. The system reliability is further enhanced by the integrated under-voltage lock-out and over-current protection. The high speed built-in HVIC provides optocoupler- less single-supply IGBT gate driving capability that further reduces the overall size of the inverter system. Each phase leg current of the inverter can be monitored thanks to three separate negative dc terminals.
Motion SPM® 3 Advanced Modules
ON Semiconductor Motion SPM® 3 Smart Power Modules provide a fully-featured and high-performance inverter output stage for AC induction, BLDC, and PMSM motors. These modules integrate optimized gate drive of the built-in IGBTs to minimize EMI and losses. The SPM 3 modules provide multiple on-module protection features including under-voltage lockouts, over-current shutdown, thermal monitoring of drive IC, and fault reporting. The built-in high-speed HVIC requires only a single supply voltage and translates the incoming logic-level gate inputs to the high-voltage and high-current drive signals. The SPM 3 modules come with separate negative IGBT terminals for each phase to support the widest variety of control algorithms.
Motion SPM® Modules
ON Semiconductor Motion SPM® Modules integrate drive and protection circuitry into a single package. These modules simplify and accelerate designs and optimize efficiency. The SPM modules are sometimes referred to as Intelligent Power Modules (IPM). A full line of highly integrated smart power modules is available for a wide range of energy-savvy applications. The SPM modules provide solutions that drive efficiency reducing board space, improving system reliability, and speeding time-to-market.
