CY7C65630 / CY7C65640A High Speed USB Hub Controllers
The Cypress Semiconductor CY7C65630 and CY7C65640A are high performance, low power USB 2.0 hub controllers. The Cypress Semiconductor CY7C65640A is a TetraHub™ self-powered USB 2.0 hub controller. The Tetra architecture provides four downstream USB ports with a transaction translator for each port, making it the highest performing hub possible. The CY7C65640A is designed for use in standalone hubs, motherboard hubs, monitor hub applications, and more. The Cypress Semiconductor CY7C65630 4-port / single transaction translator is for ultra low power applications that require four downstream ports. All four ports of the CY7C65630 USB 2.0 hub controller share a single transaction translator.
CY7C656xx USB 2.0 Hub Controllers
Cypress introduced CY7C656xx as part of its next generation HX2VL™ family of high performance, very low power USB 2.0 hub controllers. CY7C656xx USB 2.0 Hub Controllers are ideally suited for ultra low power, high performance applications that require up to four downstream ports. All downstream ports share a single transaction translator and are backward compatible with FS, LS. CY7C656xx USB 2.0 Hubs integrate 1.5 kohm upstream pull-up resistors for full speed operation and all downstream 15 kohm pull-down resistors and series termination resistors on all upstream and downstream D+ and D- pins. The design optimizes system costs by providing support for the USB 2.0 specification. The devices are available in the 48-pin TQFP and 28-pin QFN package options. Cypress offers reference design kits which include board schematics, bill of materials, Gerber files, Orcad files, and thorough design documentation to support CY7C656xx USB 2.0 Hub Controllers.Learn More
