ALTAIR05T-800 Switching Regulator: STMicroelectronics ALTAIR05T-800 All-Primary-Sensing Switching Regulator combines a high-performance low voltage PWM controller chip and an 800V avalanche-rugged power section. The ALTAIR05T is a high-voltage switcher that can operate directly from rectified mains with minimum external parts.

Off-line All-Primary-Sensing Switching Regulator: STMicroelectronics ALTAIR05T-800 Off-line All-Primary-Sensing Switching Regulator combines a high-performance, low-voltage PWM controller chip and an 800V avalanche-rugged power section in the same package. The device is intended for operating directly from a rectified household voltage with minimal external parts. STMicroelectronics Off-line All-Primary-Sensing Switching Regulator is capable of providing both constant output voltage (CV) and constant output current (CC) regulation using primary-sensing feedback. This eliminates the need for the optocoupler, the secondary voltage reference, as well as the current sensor, while still maintaining quite accurate regulation even in the presence of heavy load transients. The controller chip is a current-mode specifically designed for offline quasi-resonant flyback converters. Quasi-resonant operation is guaranteed by means of a transformer demagnetization sensing input that turns on the power section. The same input also serves the output voltage monitor to perform CV regulation, and the input voltage monitor to achieve mains-independent CC regulation.
