MCP794XX Microchip Real-Time Clock/Calendar (RTCC)
Microchip MCP794XX Real-Time Clock/Calendars are stand-alone RTCCs with 64 bytes of SRAM and up to 2 Kbits of EEPROM, including a user-lockable section of EEPROM that can be factory-programmed with a MAC address. Features include digital trimming, power-fail time stamp, and battery-switchover. MCP794XX RTCCs are ideally suited for smart energy, home appliance, automotive, and consumer electronic applications.

MCP794XX I²C RTCC ICs
The MCP794XX is the first Microchip Technology stand-alone I²C Real-Time Clock / Calendar (RTCC) family. All 6 Microchip Technology MCP794XX RTCC ICs are highly integrated at a low cost, including ample amounts of on-chip EEPROM and SRAM as well as a user-lockable section of EEPROM available for a 64-bit reprogrammable unique ID that can be factory-programmed with a MAC address. These Microchip Technology devices include digital trimming for time-of-day calibration and a battery-switchover feature that supports backup power at very low voltage and current levels. The MCP794xx family of RTCCs is ideal for applications that depend on a real-time clock with a power-fail monitor to capture and store the timeframes when power fails. These Microchip ICs are also optimized for cameras, notebook PCs, and other applications that need a real-time clock with back-up power to maintain time and alarm settings when the main power is turned off.
