AD7190 24-Bit Sigma-Delta ADC
Analog Devices AD7190 is offered as a low-noise, complete analog front end designed for high precision measurement applications. AD7190 includes a low noise, 24-bit sigma-delta (∑-Δ) analog-to-digital converter (ADC). AD7190’s on-chip, low-noise gain stage allows small amplitude signals to interface directly to the ADC. Designers can configure the device with two differential inputs or four pseudo differential inputs. Using the on-chip channel sequencer allows several channels to be enabled. The on-chip channel sequencer sequentially converts each enabled channel to simplify communication with the device. Designers can use AD7190’s on-chip 4.92MHz clock as the clock source to the ADC or an external clock. The device delivers an output data rate of 4.7Hz- 4.8kHz. The AD7190 ADC provides two digital filter options. The type of filter used affects the rms noise/noise-free resolution at the programmed output data rate, the settling time, and the 50Hz/60Hz rejection. In addition, the AD7190 ADC has a zero latency feature for applications that require all conversions to be settled. The AD7190 operates with 5V analog power supply and a digital power supply from 2.7V-5.25V. The device consumes a current of 6mA, and is available in a 24-lead TSSOP package.Learn More
