Silicon Labs EFM8 Family offers a wide range of performance. They feature fast processors that allow for complex algorithm implementation and ultra-low power architectures with flexible sleep modes. All EFM8 devices have highly efficient peripherals, low-power consumption, BOM integration and exquisite analog. The highly flexible digital and analog multiplexing strategy means that you can route nearly every I/O pin "wisely" to simplify PCB routing. Designers can choose peripherals and pinout placement without worrying about pre-set limitations and pin conflicts. The EFM8 MCUs come with a comprehensive IDE including sample code and energy aware monitoring tools. Simplicity Studio platform is your one-stop solution for accessing demos, software examples, datasheets, technical support, and forums.
EFM8 Laser Bee 8-bit MCUs
Silicon Labs EFM8 Laser Bee family of microcontrollers (MCUs) are offered as a performance line of energy-friendly 8-bit MCUs with a comprehensive analog and digital feature set in small packages. EFM8 Laser Bee MCUs deliver state-of-the-art performance by incorporating a 14-bit ADC, internally calibrated temperature sensor (±3°C), and up to four 12-bit DACs into compact packages. This design of the EFM8 Laser Bee MCUs make them ideally suited for even the most stringent analog application requirements. Featuring a pipelined 8051 core operating a with maximum frequency of 72MHz, multiple communication interfaces, and up to four channels of configurable logic, the EFM8 Laser Bee MCUs are an excellent selection for optical network modules, precision instrumentation, industrial control and automation, and smart sensors.
