TLE987x 3-Phase Motor/Relay Driver ICs
Infineon TLE987x 3-Phase Motor/Relay Driver ICs are automotive-qualified System-on-Chip (SoC) devices specifically designed to provide space-efficient solutions for mechatronic BLDC motor-drive applications including field-oriented control. These single-chip devices integrate the industry-standard ARM® Cortex®-M3 core to enable the implementation of advanced motor-control algorithms. The TLE987x devices also feature six fully integrated NFET drivers optimized to drive a 3-phase motor using six external power NFETs. A charge pump enables low-voltage operation. TLE987x’s programmable current along with current-slope control optimize EMC performance. The peripheral set includes a current sensor, a successive approximation ADC synchronized with the capture and compare unit for PWM control, and 16-bit timers. An integrated LIN transceiver allows communication to the device along with a number of general-purpose I/Os.
