The ASSMANN WSW Components USB 3.1 super speed type C connector offers further features and advantages with regard to new potential applications due to a similar product size as the Micro-B USB 2.0 provides, but based on a higher data transmission rate and the improved charger function. The USB 3.1 super speed type C connector allows the use in emerging product designs or mobile phone devices.

The USB 3.1 super speed type-C plug can be used as the new general interface connection for basically every electronic data transmission application. It can replace long-term any USB type-B and type-A connectors and cables by reducing the needed PCB space.

The ASSMANN WSW Components USB 3.1 super speed connector provides a 24-pin double-sided mating face (connector with 12 contacts each side on top and bottom/ hybrid). The function of the 24 contacts is based on having four power/ground contacts on both connectors sides and eight signal contacts on each side. The ASSMANN WSW Components USB 3.1 super speed connector is available in a combination for a THR and SMT solder process and can be ordered with tray or tape-and-reel packaging.
