Wurth Electronics, Inc. as an innovative manufacturer of ferrite material, has released its latest core material generation, LFS. This core uses MnZn as main material. MnZn has an excellent EMI noise suppression between 150 kHz and 30 MHz and is specially trimmed to suppress noise in power supplies and electronic ballasts.
The LFS cores are available as snap ferrites as well as standard toroidal cores. The STAR-FIX LFS snap ferrites 74272722 and 74272733 are suitable for cable diameters from 4.5 mm up to 12.5 mm and offer all advantages other Würth Electronics STAR ferrites offer: flexible pre-fixing cable clamp, STAR safety key technology, and UL94 V-0 rated plastic housing.
Besides the snap ferrites, Würth Electronics is also offering toroidal ferrite cores cables from 4.4 mm up to 12.5 mm. All impedance graphs are conveniently available with the characteristics at one and two turns through the ferrite.
