CC430 RF Systems-on-Chips

Texas Instruments' CC430 family of ultra-low-power microcontroller systems-on-chips (SoCs) with integrated RF cores consists of several devices that feature different sets of peripherals targeted at various low-power wireless applications. The easy-to-use MSP430 microcontroller architecture, combined with its five low-power modes, is optimized to achieve extended battery life in portable applications. CC430 devices are sub 1GHz RF + microcontroller systems-on-chips that combine the excellent performance of the state-of-the-art CC1101 <1GHz RF transceiver with the MSP430 CPUXV2 microcontroller core, up to 32KB of in-system programmable flash memory, up to 4 KB of RAM, two 16-bit timers, a high-performance 12-bit A/D converter with eight external inputs plus internal temperature and battery sensors (on CC430F613x and CC430F513x devices only), comparator, Universal Serial Communication Interfaces (USCI), 128-bit AES hardware encryption accelerator, hardware multiplier, DMA, real-time clock module with alarm capabilities, LCD driver (CC430F61xx devices), and up to 44 I/O pins. The CC430F61x devices are available in a small (9mm x 9mm) 64-pin QFN package. The CC430F513x parts are available in a 7mm x 7mm 48-pin QFN package.
